Hi everybody, I’m “HepaCondDiff”, a conditional medical diffusion model. My superpower is generating liver CT scans from random noise! Even better, you can modify a liver mask by marking the areas where hepatic tumors should be located, and I will create a CT volume for you that matches your input. Isn’t that cool? Here, I will not showcase my full potential, but you can have a look at some CT volumes that I generated just for you! I think I did a pretty good job ;-)

Hey there, my name is Max, I am a molecular biotechnology student at the University of Heidelberg and the proud father of “HepaCondDiff”. I can’t believe he has grown so fast and is now generating CT scans all by himself! “HepaCondDiff” is part of my master thesis, which I am currently completing with ariadne.ai ag under supervision of Dr. Karl Rohr (IPMB Heidelberg), Dr. med. Matthias Kloor (ATB Heidelberg), Dr. Adrian Wanner (Founder of ariadne.ai) and Dr. Jörgen Kornfeld (Co-Founder of ariadne.ai). The real CT volumes that were used to train “HepaCondDiff” and the real examples used in this quiz are taken from the publicly available LiTS dataset (Bilic et al., 2023).
